Mare Nostrum

Back to the Auditorium to see another Fresu project.
Mare Nostrum is an expression used by ancient Romans to call the Mediterranean Sea. Litterally it means "Our sea".
Mediterraneo as meeting place of different cultures but also as departure point to explore new unknown territories. Paolo Fresu, Richard Galliano e Jan Lundgren. Sardinia (Italy), Provence (France) and Sweden – trumpet, accordeon and piano – three worlds that meet!

They brought the audience in this journey with them...and as you can see from the photo...in their boat in the sea.

Last song of the concert: "Sì dolce è il tormento" written in 1964 in Venice by Monteverdi

Smile

Rome, Tram 8: In the crowd, two people with the same I-pod model and a smile of understanding.

...follow your sky

River of life Rain was your birth Gathered deep Beneath the earth. Search and seep, Hollow stone Issue and flow Virgin stream Meander free It's a long way to the sea. Caves and canyons Stark prison walls Swirl and hurl you From white cascading falls. Across the plain Sweep your course River roll Follow your star. There's a city There's a bridge. Ships and barges Dark rusty hearts Feed cranes along your banks. Waste and poison cloy where once men drank. Forget the pain From rain to rain Journey's end Is surely not far ...

Get tuned!

Sometimes I found myself looking for loneliness. I got used to stay alone when I seriously begun to study music..the relationship with the instrument impose a period of loneliness ... or being together with your feelings ...you need to stay alone with (alone with looks like a contrast) your sensations.. Then in life, it happens that I want to stay alone to take time for myself because I need to get tuned...with my center, or the center of the out.. Then you realize (in music as in life) that they exists a lot of different tunings in armony with different "sometimes beautiful " centers ... so it starts again the sea of infinite possibility, and it happens that you get confused... but this is another story.
